Midi Market – We’re Stuck in the Middle with Fall’s Must-Have Item

Though we’re still enjoying these last few days of summer (and soaking up all the warmth we can), we’re daydreaming about our Fall wardrobes as the stores get ready for next season’s hottest items. So what are we looking forward to the most? We’ll tell you one thing, it’s perfectly in between  Summer mini’s and Winter maxi’s…

We hope you all are ready for a slim and elongated silhouette (we don’t think anyone will argue with that) thanks to Fall’s midi pencil skirts in all textures, colors, and patterns. Although that below-the-knee hemline is prim and proper, this must-have Fall look can still be fun and sexy…

The first thing to look forward to is all the amazing new textiles that cool weather allows into new collections, like this gorgeous muted hue tweed in an ultra-flattering silhouette.Alice + Olivia seem  to really be on top of it for Fall – this Niall Tweed Pencil Skirt isn’t their only spot-on style…

If you’re looking to really push that mid-twentieth century aesthetic, try an updated style fromAsos in a classic vintage color. This is the perfect combination of old and new in a fabric with just enough stretch to keep those legs walking.

Of course Alice + Olivia gets it right again with this taupe jersey double-layered midi. Just a little touch of ruching on the side gives this closet staple a bit of interest. This skirt is totally sexy without being too complicated.
You didn’t hear it form this blog post, but this prominent Fall trend is giving us ideas for our next Polyvore contest…stay tuned!

By boasting a high waistline and longer-than-usual hemline, midi skirts will almost always give you an elongated figure. Give them an updated look with a pair of platform wedges and a Kyler matinee necklace and you’ll be sure to make those Fall leaves sigh.
