Marion Bolognesi’s Unfinished Faces

These watercolor paintings from Brooklyn-based Marion Bolognesi are absolutely stunning. Dramatic, saturated, and expertly crafted, there seems to be no shortage of emotion in each of these faces that take notes from fashion illustration methods such as the fadeaway girl and exaggerate them to an entirely new artform.

The attitude of each portrait is so intense that even the illusion of tears is rendered meaningless in comparison with the looks of mischief, seduction, or depth.

The overall look feels like an updated 80’s aesthetic, which is right up our alley – bright neons and cool, ethereal hues are just so utopian.

Until next time!

xoxo Kyler
