Exit Through the Gift Shop – About Banksy…Kind of.

We finally went down to the theatres at Embarcadero One and checked out “Exit Through the Gift Shop“. The new film by famed and anonymous British street artist Banksy, which everyone seems to pour into theatres to learn more about his mysterie, really ends up with a hilarious dose of Mr. Brainwash, the tag-along counterpart to Banksy and many other notable street artists such as Shepherd Fairey.

Although you won’t receive much more information on the mysterious identity of Banksy, you’ll get a great story of French eccentric Thierry Guetta (aka Mr. Brainwash) – we’ve agreed that he’s the kind of guy that you’ll love, hate, and love to hate.

Not long after the debut, Banksy left his mark in our neck of the woods:

Banksy in SF at Sycamore Street and Mission

Banksy in SF at Commercial and Grant

Banksy’s art is the subject of much controversy, and Mr. Brainwash’s art is irrelevant, but there’s something about Banksy’s flawless delivery in the film that just has to make you laugh out loud. Check it out for yourself!

xoxo, Kyler
